The name of PLATFORM SCALES is given to the scales which has a large weighing platform. This type of weighing scales has the maximum weighing range limit of 30 kg to 600 kg. Platform scales are widely used in industry, warehouses, agriculture and anywhere else to weigh the larger heavier objects, such as boxes, bags, etc. Under the standard conditions of use it is recommended to use platform scales with the simple IP54, IP65 protection class, against dust and water. Under the aggressive conditions of use one should choose IP66, IP67 protection class, stainless steel platform scales (in such applications as fish, meat, chemical industry).
